Bump has been absolutely DYING for a pair of footie pjs. Zach got a few hand me downs from a cousin. He’s only worn them a few times because I usually have to change the super soaker before I go to bed, and trying to wrestle a sleeping baby in and out of a sleeper is maddening. But Bump got the footie pj bug.
And yesterday the new Kohls opened. The one 15 minutes from my house. Sigh. (Please note, rabbit trail here.) When we lived in Richmond, almost everything I wore was from Kohls. Gil, too. I just have a rhythm with that store having shopped in them my whole life (chain was founded in Wisconsin. I remember buying school clothes there when I was young. There isn’t/wasn’t one in my hometown. But, the big city…) My former coworkers used to joke that I had my own parking space out front and that a whistle went off in the store every time I went in. I’ve always found the most incredible deals there and love the styles they carry.
Anyway, we went to Kohls. And Bump had footie pjs on his mind. They had them…on sale. And I had a coupon. So in they went. Last night he took his bath and HAD to wear them. I wanted him to try them before I took off the tags because it’s been a long time since Bump has slept with footies. He tried them. He loved them. He couldn’t wait to show Daddy. By story time, they were bothering his feet, so we had to switch them out for his new monster truck pjs. Sigh.
I went through and cut the seam allowances down a little in the toes and hope that will be enough for him. He tells me he doesn’t want to cut the feet off.

Hi! I just found your blog and really enjoyed reading it! I am also a 40 yo running, stay at home mom. I have 3 little ones 6 and under. I also agree, I can’t diet, don’t believe in dieting, so I just try not to eat like a pig and move as much as I can. Unfortunately, a bad hip has been plaguing me since last year so my running has been taken down a notch (so depressing). I also do try to do weights 2 or 3 x a week.
Your blog is interesting! I will be back!
Take care,
Irene
