I didn’t make up this recipe, but have seen it all over the web today. I first noticed an article on the concept in the Richmond Times-Dispatch. So a-Googling I went for the easiest version possible. You see, I had the main ingredient in my freezer.
Ravioli Lasagna
Ingredients
1 Bag of Frozen Cheese Ravioli (26 oz. or there about)
1 Jar of Prepared Spaghetti Sauce (29 oz. or there about)
1 Bag of Mozzarella cheese - 2-3 cup size
Directions
-Preheat oven to 375
-Pour a bit of sauce on the bottom of an 11×13 baking dish
-Layer ingredients as follows: Ravs, sauce, cheese - until your supply is exhausted. (I did two layers. I’ve seen 3 in receipe reviews, but maybe in smaller dish.)
-Bake for 40 minutes.
Options
-Use homemade sauce or spice up a little with garlic or Italian seasoning (I threw in some garlic powder.)
-Use higher quality sauce/ravs for a more gourmet taste.
-Add other ingredients to your liking - meat, sauteed veggies (but I like it simple.)
-Use other cheeses and Parmesan, too. I didn’t have much mozzarella, so I subbed a Mexican cheese for the middle layer.
It really tasted great. I had it reheated because I rarely get to eat dinner when I make it, and I’ve read that it’s better the second day. Gil, the deprived lasagna lover, will be tickled pink to have this in his lunch tomorrow. My sauce had a little sausage in it which really made a nice flavor.
Enjoy!

This was great! I don’t get lasagna very often because the kids just don’t like everything all mixed together. They think it’s neat how the ravioli’s are little “pockets”. Thanks!!
