Bump went to his first car race ever this past weekend - The Lipton 250 at Richmond International Raceway - part of the Nationwide Series (or as Bump says…Serious) which is a NASCAR race. He also got to enjoy qualifying for the event and for the Crown Royal 400 (the big boys) race on [...]

I’ve been mulling this post all week. Since Holly is posting about it today, too, I thought I’d try to spell out where we are in the cloth diapering adventure.
I was quite naive when I jumped into this two months ago. (Has it already been two months?) I thought that the “new” [...]

If there’s one thing my boys have lots of, it’s building toys. They are very fond of building it up and tearing it down. We have big blocks, little blocks, duplos, mega blocks, Lincoln Logs and a couple of new building toys this Christmas. (Legos are coming, I think.)
These are Magformers. They [...]

Zach hit the 9 month mark earlier this week. It seems like FOREVER to me at times and yet has sped by like a rocket. He didn’t have any shots this time around, just a finger prick for an anemia test (I don’t know how they can think a baby on iron fortified [...]

Zach is growing by leaps and bounds these days as teeth #5 and #6 have broken through. He seems to have gotten over teething more or less and doesn’t fuss about it, but does enjoy chewing on a host of toys and whatever he can get his hands on.
He’s officially learned the army crawl. [...]

My dear Zach hit the six month mark 12 days ago. I’m a little behind in my recognition of this glorious event.
Well my little one, you are now 6 months old and not so little anymore. In fact at 20 lbs. 13 oz. and 29.25 inches, you are just about as big as [...]

Zach’s second tooth came busting through this morning. This afternoon, he turned into fusspot baby extraordinary - who needed to be held or engaged in play to not fuss. Since I had to make dinner for the Bump, he fussed a bit and was too worked up to attempt to feed him cereal. [...]
